Draft Acid Rock Drainage Technical Guidelines

In December 1988, SRK was commissioned to prepare a technical guide of state-of-the-art techniques for acid mine drainage prediction, prevention, treatment, control and monitoring. Dr. Robertson was the principal author of this document.

This manual was completed, containing the following information:

• a brief literature review
• a discussion of the state-of-the-art of acid mine drainage in British Columbia
• current approaches in other parts of Canada and the world
• identification of shortcomings in our present day technology
• recommendations for the application of technology in prediction, prevention, treatment, control and monitoring of acid mine drainage for
• mining in British Columbia
