RGC was privileged to support the recently completed Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the former Rum Jungle Mine Site in Australia. RGC prepared Chapter 10, and technical reports on groundwater and surface water modeling and an assessment of the physical and geochemical characteristics of mine waste.
RGC worked with multiple consultancies for the EIS, which is the culmination of work completed at the site since 2010. Feedback on RGC’s performance included “exceptional expertise – content, problem solving, working to tight timeframes and working across Project team of multiple consultants” and “responsive to external regulatory requests (unplanned)”.
We are most appreciative to be involved and are looking forward to the next phase of remediation planning, as the NT continues to work with Traditional Owners and other stakeholders to improve the condition of the site.
