Antamina Mine
Project Description
Located in the Andes Mountains 270 km north of Lima, production at Antamina began in 2002. The mine is expected to produce an average of 600 million pounds of copper and 360 million pounds of zinc annually for 20 years, making it among the largest producers of copper and zinc concentrates in the world. CMA is owned by Rio Algom Limited, Noranda Inc., Teck Corporation and the Mitsubishi Corporation.
RGC was retained to sit on the tailings review board.
