Ekati Diamond Mine

Andy Robertson of RGC designed the Long Lake Containment Facility for the Fine Processed Kimberlite that is residual from diamond mining and extraction at the Ekati Diamond Mine. Since then, Andy Robertson and other RGC staff have continued to consult on operation of the Long Lake Containment Facility. They have worked closely with others who have also contributed significantly to the success of the facility including EBA Consultants and Rescan.

In 2010, for the ten-year review of operations, RGC completed modelling for past and future operation of the facility using the computer code RIFT.
