Equity Silver
Project Description
Equity Silver is a surface mining operation located 40 km southeast of the town of Houston, BC. The mine began operations in 1980 and closed in 1994. At the time of construction, little consideration was given towards the production of acid rock drainage and as such initial acid generating waste rock was used for various structural components on the mine site.
RGC was retained to complete an Environmental Liability Assessment for Environment Canada to determine size of closure fund requirements.
