Pogo Project
The Pogo Gold Project is located approximately 75 miles east of Fairbanks, 30 air miles to the north of the community of Delta Junction, along the Goodpaster River in Alaska. At the tie of contract, the project was in the feasibility stage of development which, in part, entails the selection of a site and disposal method for their tailings. Teck had retained the consulting team of EBA Engineering Inc. and RGC to complete a tailings site selection study, which included a prefeasibility design and costing of alternative tailings system options, multiple accounts analysis (MAA) of alternative tailings sites, and a final report for tailings site selection study. Services also provided in liaison with government regulators.
