On October 9, Dr. Christoph Wels held a workshop in Codelco’s corporate head office in Santiago (“copper room”) on the international practice of seepage control and mitigation for tailings storage facilities. This workshop was held for both corporate and field staff operating Codelco’s tailings facilities in Chile.
Dr. Christoph Wels is member of the Tailings Independent Review Board for Codelco which completes annual reviews of Codelco’s tailings facilites in Chile.
